Chicago Cubs Attendance Over a 10 Year Span

The rise and fall off the attendance of Wrigley Field between the years of 20017 and 2016.

This line graph shows the total attendance of Wrigley Field between 2007 and 2016.

This line graph shows that Wrigley Field was packed with Cubs fans in 2007 and 2008. However, after 2008 the Cubs record fell and so did the attendance of their fans. For the next couple of years the attendance fell drastically. More and more fans started to come to home games in 2015 due to the fact that the Cubs were playing much better and made the playoffs that year. The attendance raised the following year in 2016 again due to the fact that they won the World Series that year. One thing I find very odd is that in 2007 and 2008, the attendance was higher than the year they actually won the World Series.
